Claymon Cipione

Claymon Cipione was most recently CIO of AMD Corporation, based in Austin, Texas, and responsible for worldwide IT. Clay spent 48 years (1960-2008) in the computer industry in many positions from Computer Programmer to Senior Executive. He also served four years in the United States Air Force.

He is the founder and chairman of the Cipione Family Foundation, which is dedicated to helping at-risk youth improve their lives, and also supports many other community organizations, including Texas Jazz Society. Clay became a jazz fan early in life listening to the Charlie Bird Trio at the Cellar Door in his hometown of Washington, DC.

Trey Duck

Trey Duck is a partner at the law firm of Nix Patterson, LLP, where he represents clients of all types in complex litigation. He is a graduate of Baylor University and Baylor Law School.

Trey has been a musician for as long as he can remember, learning how to sing with his family around his grandmother’s baby grand piano during the holidays. Trey and his wife, Lillyan, are avid music fans and love the atmosphere of a good jazz joint. They believe jazz musicians are amazing artists who deserve the support and recognition of their community—especially in the Live Music Capital of the World!

Dr. Tom Leonard

Dr. Tom Leonard has had a long career in education. Most recently from 2014 to 2022, he served as the superintendent of the highly acclaimed Eanes-Westlake Independent School District in Austin, Texas.

Tom grew up in a musical family and played saxophone in high school and in the last 15 years has renewed that passion studying both saxophone and piano. This hobby has become his passion. He regularly will sponsor and play with young musicians, occasionally at Parker Jazz Club. After retiring from public school service, Dr. Leonard continues to engage in work associated with education and schools, travels extensively, and continues to study/play jazz.

 

Adriel Meditz

A lucky third generation Texan and Austinite since 1997, Adriel Meditz is Vice President - Senior Relationship Strategist at PNC, and an active community-based leader.

When he isn’t working with clients, planning new travel adventures with his wife and daughter, or walking his opinionated English Bulldogs, Adriel stays involved with Austin and the international community through a variety of organizations, including (and definitely not limited to) Texas Parks & Wildlife Foundation, Paramount Theatre, Amplify Austin Advisory Council, Austin Symphony Board of Directors, Austin Opera Board of Trustees, Austin Sunshine Camps Board of Directors, and of course Texas Jazz Society.
